Exploring Bristol: Clifton Suspension Bridge

21 May 2018

I'm so behind on my posting schedule for this blog, I wanted to get this post out before the May bank holiday but it turned out I had 100 things to do and not enough time! I have so much great photos coming up from my holiday in Italy, so I'm really excited to share those.

Anyway today I am going to be talking about Bristol, I went in March and I cannot believe I never shared any of the photos I took! I went for a friends birthday so I was only there for one night but managed to see the wonderful Clifton Suspension Bridge. Who knew bridges would be a thing I was in to? But this one is particularly stunning. See for yourself!

We first went to the viewing point which obviously provides some of the best views of the bridge. It definitely was a photo opp for me as usual even if it was freezing cold! I have to say this Zara coat is the best at keeping me warm though, I basically only felt the cold through the holes in my ripped jeans. We went during the weekend where there was snow falling across the UK, so looking back wearing ripped jeans was a stupid idea. Although we had sunshine during the day it was bloody freezing the snow slowly descended in the evening.

So after nearly freezing our fingers off, we headed to a friends to get ready. I stayed with my friend's friend and their house was a book lovers paradise. So many lovely books everywhere, I must have spent an hour just leafing through them! We got ready and headed over to a brewery for some drinks as our dinner reservation wasn't until late.

We then headed off to eat all the steak at Pasture. This is a new place that's opened up and it was SO good! They gave us the private dining room even though we just made a normal reservation and it was just nice because it was away from all the noise. The steak was delicious - honestly, one of the best I've eaten and everything else (especially the wine) was great! They also do amazing cocktails and have such a good list of beers, seriously I had the loveliest time there.

It was so nice to sit in that room and watch the snow falling. It was however so bloody cold going back home! The next morning we woke up to loads and loads of snow.

I was only in Bristol for a short amount of time but I really enjoyed what I saw of it. I definitely need to make it so I see some more cities in the UK though!
